Desde há muito tempo que existem jogos, não só os bons jogos como também os piores têm direito a sequelas. Uma sequela é uma faca de dois gumes, tanto pode elevar uma série ao céu e imortalizá-la como colocar a melhor das séries na lama.

Nos últimos anos temos assistido a uma constante reciclagem de séries, todos os anos vemos os nossos jogos preferidos receberem novas versões, jogos de sucesso que vendem pelo nome e que fazem as produtoras descansar à sobra da bananeira, jogos com um número mínimo de adições que os faz parecer incompletos perante os olhos do consumidor, desiludindo-o.

Felizmente ainda existem jogos que embora lançados anualmente mostram um trabalho final com um alto nível de qualidade, capazes de nos surpreender em qualquer aspecto e um desses jogos é Call of Duty 4, um jogo que pertence a uma série que já nos habituou a títulos de grande qualidade e embora que com jogos lançados anualmente, o curto período de tempo de produção não afecta de modo algum o trabalho final.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare marca a entrada da série no mundo dos jogos de guerras mais recentes, afastando-se pela primeira vez dos já habituais cenários da segunda Guerra Mundial. Para dizer a verdade apoiamos a 100% este novo visual da série pois jogos da segunda Guerra Mundial há muitos, já de Guerras no Iraque não podemos dizer o mesmo.

Como muitos o descrevem: “tudo acontece ao mesmo tempo”, e é isso mesmo que torna este jogo memorável, faz-nos sentir que estamos mesmo em Guerra, explodem carros, caiem helicópteros, morrem pessoas e ouvem-se gritos, o cenário perfeito. Com uma história simplesmente espectacular e atraente, Modern Warfare entrosa-se rapidamente com o jogador, sentimos a emoção que o jogo deve transmitir e isso faz-nos querer jogar. Obviamente não queremos revelar pormenores da história pois isso tiraria todo o seu esplendor, apenas adiantamos que todo o enredo se passará em países que estão actualmente em guerra tal como Iraque, e o jogador irá jogar com as tropas dos U.S. Marines numa luta contra os terroristas na qual deverá aniquilar os chefes máximos do poder. Todas as armas utilizadas são as presentes no mundo real por esta altura, para além disso temos ainda a possibilidade de utilizar armas como Lança-Rockets e outras do género, que nos dão uma sensação excelente de estar numa Guerra.

Pela primeira vez o modo história não se limita apenas as batalhas em solo, existem momentos de grande qualidade e dignos de notas, um desses momentos é sem duvida o ataque aéreo presente no modo história e mais não vamos adiantar. Call of Duty 4 é um jogo que ganha pelo conjunto de todos os bons momentos que passamos a jogar. Ainda que com uma história curta, é no entanto uma história cheia de intensidade. Preferimos antes histórias curtas com esta intensidade do que grandes e pouco motivadoras.

Quando o modo Single Player é terminado são desbloqueadas as opções de Cheats, poderemos usar determinada cheat conforme o número de “artefactos” coleccionados ao longo do jogo (existem artefactos chamados “Intel Enemy Pieces” que estão escondidos pelo cenário). Para além disso é desbloqueado o modo Arcada, poderemos tentar matar inimigos num determinado espaço de tempo e com um determinado número de vidas.

O grafismo foi algo muito cuidado neste jogo, é belo. Muitos o descrevem como foto realístico, cá para nós, realista ou não, este é um grafismo que transpira arte. Com pormenores deliciosos, como as explosões, fumo e expressões faciais, não são estes pormenores que tornam este grafismo excelente mais sim todo o conjunto em si.

O voice acting é também ele excelente, as vozes estão sempre bem enquadradas, o som das explosões é do melhor, não só vemos tudo a acontecer ao nosso redor como também ouvimos, ouvem-se gritos, tiros explosões, ou seja, um mimo.

Mas onde Call of Duty 4 ganha é no online, com um modo online extremamente viciante e intuitivo, muitas serão as horas agarradas a ele. Existem 70 patentes a percorrer, a cada patente alcançada são desbloqueados PERKS (habilidades físicas como correr mais depressa, recarregar as armas mais depressa, deixar cair granadas ao morrer, entre outras, e também a possibilidade de utilizar c4, RPG, etc.), novas armas, camuflagens e acessórios. Quando se alcança a 70ª patente é desbloqueado o Prestige mode, que permite ao jogador voltar a fazer todo o percurso da 70 patentes mais 10 vezes ganhando sempre distintivos diferentes.

O modo online é composto por modos de jogo como:

-Sabotage, no qual as duas equipas têm um objectivo comum, teremos que desactivar uma bomba;

-Team Deathmatch, é a batalha derradeira entre equipas, a equipa que somar mais pontos ganha;

-Free for All, o típico todos contra todos;

-Old school, todos os jogadores começam em pé de igualdade, as armas serão recolhidas em campo;

- Captura de Bandeira, as equipas devem capturar as zonas com bandeira de modo a fazer o número máximo de pontos e ganhar.

Todos estes modos de jogo dão uma longevidade ao jogo que colmata o dito pequeno Single Player. Além disso existem imensas Challenges que ao cumprirmos ganhamos bónus de pontos, para dar um exemplo temos por exemplo uma Challenge que consiste em correr uma série de Km com a nossa personagem, outra delas é matar um certo número de inimigos com uma certa arma, ou ainda matar um certo número de inimigos à facada.

Call of Duty 4 é neste momento a melhor aposta para a Playstation 3 a nível de online, tudo isto aliado a uma história muito atraente e envolvente torna este jogo um dos melhores do ano, um jogo feito de momentos.

Easiest done in Prologue (training doesn't count) try pressing (L2) right before you land from a high distance. Faith will do a skill roll and won’t take any damage.
Be careful: when dropping down from the vents (first encounter with enemies) make a skill roll! Otherwise you'll get hit and this counts as a heavy landing.

UntouchableBronze TrophyComplete a chapter without getting shot

Easiest done in Prologue. There are 2 enemies that you'll encounter. At the first enemy, try jumping (L1) and press (R2) (kicking) at the right moment so that you body smash him to the ground.
(This will get you the Secret trophy ''Hey it's-a-me!'') Now move to the left to avoid the second enemy's gunfire. Activate Slow motion with (Square) and disarm him with (Triangle).

PacifistBronze TrophyComplete a chapter without firing a gun

Just melee opponents (R2) or disarm (Triangle) them and throw away there weapon with (Triangle). Never press (R2) when wielding a weapon and you’ll be fine.

Martial artistBronze TrophyPerform a melee hit from a wallrun

When an enemy is standing next to a wall, approach the wall and press (L1) to wallrun. When close to the enemy, press (R2) and Faith will kick the enemy.

Mine!Bronze TrophyPerform 15 successful disarms (outside of the tutorial)

Run towards an enemy and when he's trying to smash you with his weapon, press Triangle when the weapon turns red and you will disarm him. This is easier when you got slow motion (press Square to activate). You get this trophy by playing through the story mode.
You can use the tactic described in the ''Tango Down'' trophy.

Tango downBronze TrophyKnock out 20 enemies in melee combat

When engaging an enemy, hit (R2) to melee. A police officer takes about 2-3 hits and an armored Swat police officer about 4-5 hits.
Try jumping and kicking (L1 + R2) or sliding and kicking (L2 + R2) for easy hits. You can only kill people that are red.
Easy done in the metro level. There is a part where you have to fight 2 police officers and 4 swat members.
Try knocking out as much as you can and die. You respawn with all the enemies back to life. Just rinse and repeat. You get this easily if you just play through the story mode but you can use this method if you skip all the enemies.

In Chapter 6, checkpoint D, after the sequence about Project Ikarus, you need to escape from the guys who came in the elevator. As soon you have control of Faith, just run in circles around the base you need to climb. The area is large enough to maintain speed. You need to maintain 30 seconds in full speed. Try not to do edgy corners, try to stay in the same direction, doing the corners softly. Stop running when you think you hit 30 seconds. The trophy will pop up if you stop.

Up, over, under, onwardsSilver TrophyString together the following: jump, coil (over obstacle), slide (under obstacle)

Easily done in Prologue. Start checkpoint A and the first fence you jump (L1) over you can coil up and then carry on holding (L2) down and slide under the pipes.

Free flowingSilver TrophyString together the following: wallrun, jump, speedvault

Run towards a wall and press (L1) at the right moment, then press (R1) and (L1) again and speedvault. A speedvault is when you hurdle a mid-height obstacle perfectly, which makes you gain speed. To do this press (L1) to vault an object that's in your path.
Easy to do in the tutorial: When crossed the pipe you see a small building. Instead of climbing on it, wallrun the wall on the right and jump on the ledge. You'll have more than enough height to do a speedvault.

May I have this dance?Silver TrophyString together the following: wallrun, turn, jump, wallclimb, turn, jump

Press (L1) to start wallrunning next to a wall, then press (R1) to turn, (L1) again to jump towards an edge. Press (R1) when climbing on the wall followed by (L1) one more time and this trophy will pop up.
Done in Prologue: The 2 buildings you're after is the one where you have to cross the pipe and the one right next to it, run up towards the left wall and start a wallrun, quickly do a 180, jump again, another 180 then jump and you should be on top of the pipe building and 30 points better off.

Aaaand Safe!Silver TrophyString together the following: wallrun, jump, coil (over obstacle), skill roll

Press (L1) to start wallrunning and (L1) again to jump. Press (L2) when in the air to coil over an obstacle and finally (L2) again to roll and trophy unlocked. A good place to do this is Playground two in time trial mode. Go to the second checkpoint and look right of you for an orange stair. Now go a little bit forward (keeping the stair right) and you'll see some wood right next to the building left of you. In front of that wood there's a fence with a wire. Now go back a bit, make a run to the plank, on the end of the plank press (L1) and jump toward the building (you'll be wallrunning now), when almost at the fence press (L1) again (timing is important) and quickly press (L2) and (L2) again to skill roll.

Test of FaithSilver TrophyComplete the game without shooting an enemy

Easiest done on easy difficulty. Just melee opponents (R2) or disarm (Triangle) them. When disarmed throw away their weapon with (Triangle). Note that the trophy says never shoot an enemy so you can shoot a gun but don't hit an enemy. If you want to be sure, just never press (R2) when wielding a weapon and you’ll be fine. To check your progress press (Select) and if the text ''So far, you have not fired a shot at anyone'' appears at the top right then you're doing good.

The twisterSilver TrophyString together: wallclimb, turn, swing, wallclimb, turn, swing, jump. [Pure Time Trials]

To explore strange new worldsSilver TrophyAttain a Time Trial star rating of 75. [Pure Time Trials]

Depending on how many stars you got on the original maps, this either won't take very long or you'll have to devote a good amount of time to it. Start by going through the new maps and get as many stars as you can. See the videos listed with the Superstar trophy for help with the DLC maps. Also, remember to download ghost times for shortcuts to improve your times.

Pro runnerGold TrophyComplete story mode on hard difficulty.

Hard difficulty will unlock when you complete chapter 9 on any difficulty. On hard difficulty you’ll die faster from damages and have no runnervision (no red objects).
TIP: When attacking enemyies, try to lure one and disarm him with Triangle. With his weapon you can easily shoot (R2) his teammates. It's very hard to fight them with melee and going for the "Test of Faith" trophy.
*Some people are having trouble with this one. Start a new game on hard and not from chapter select to be sure*

Um dos primeiros jogos a obter um verdadeiro sucesso na PlayStation 3 foi Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, da mesma produtora os jogos Crash Bandicoot, que saiu na PlayStation, e Jak & Daxter, que teve quatro jogos na PlayStation 2. Estamos a falar, claro está, na Naughty Dog. Uncharted é um jogo que possui as mesmas bases de sucesso da franquia Tomb Raider: acção, aventura e reflexos fantásticos. No entanto, a sua produtora conseguiu implementar-lhe algo único. Algo capaz de diferenciá-lo dos de mais. E uma vez mais, a Naughty Dog consegui surpreender tudo e todos.

Só que agora esses tesouros e puzzles marcarão presença de outra forma. Como sabem,Uncharted 2: Among Thieves desenrola-se em torno das aventuras de Marco Polo, que, segundo a lenda, viajava com uma frota de 13 navios cheios de tesouros. No entanto, apenas dois navios chegaram ao destino, Itália. Sendo assim, o objectivo de Nathan Drake é encontrar o resto da frota e respectivos tesouros. Após receber uma pequena pista, segue para Oriente, onde poderá jogar em diversos cenários, sendo os mais conhecidos algumas zonas dos Himalaias, incluindo Nepal e Shangri-La. O mais surpreendente é que um dos navios contém um cristal com poderes utópicos que realiza um desejo a quem o encontrar. No entanto, e não é para estranhar, Nathan não é a única pessoa à procura desta preciosidade. Muitos piratas o tentarão travar nesta árdua tarefa. E por isso mesmo poderemos contar com Chloe Frazer, companheira de Nathan, que funciona como uma espécie de substituta de Elena Fisher, embora com mais habilidades com uma arma na mão. Sabe-se ainda que a Chloe, na versão inglesa do jogo, terá a voz de Claudia Black, actriz já conhecida por representar em Stargate SG-1 e Eclipse Mortal.

Depois de o primeiro Uncharted utilizar 30% das capacidades da PlayStation 3, já é sabido que Uncharted 2: Among Thieves tentará puxar ao máximo a consola de nova geração da Sony, com gráficos a roçar a perfeição, texturas detalhadas ao mais ínfimo pormenor e, segundo os produtores, sem quaisquer tipos de ecrãs de loading no decorrer da acção.

Uma das principais novidades de Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, e que foi anunciada há pouco tempo, é a presença de modos multi-jogador. Provavelmente, a principal surpresa reside no facto de estes modos não se centrarem apenas na cooperação, onde Drake e Chloe fariam uma grande dupla. Já foi confirmado também que os modos competitivos terão uma grande ênfase, sendo eles os tradicionais Deathmatch, onde podem ser formadas equipas de quatro jogadores e um factor decisivo será a capacidade de exploração, uma vez neste modo os jogadores terão de procurar armas, itens e abrigos pelo cenário, e o Plunder. Este funcionará da mesma maneira que o Capture the Flag, só que em vês de bandeiras (flags) os jogadores estão à procura de tesouros que têm de levar para a sua base. Para além destes, teremos ainda o mais que óbvio modo cooperativo, sendo que este permitirá a presença de três jogadores em simultâneo. Terá uma campanha própria, diferente da principal, embora com alguns traços desta última. Segundo a Naughty Dog, alguns níveis dela serão alvos de modificações para que a jogabilidade com diversos jogadores ao mesmo tempo funcione na perfeição.

Little Big Planet

Em LittleBigPlanet, que tem um clima de fantasia, o jogador tem diversas habilidades para interagir com ambiente. Há itens para colecionar e quebra-cabeças, cuja solução requer lógica e colaboração em grupo. Quanto mais explorar o mundo, mais o jogador aumenta sua capacidade de criar e modificar o cenário.

Pode-se mover tudo no ambiente e rearranjar os objetos como desejar. A interface promete ser bem simples, de maneira intuitiva. O mundo criador pode ser compartilhando com outros usuários. No entanto, as fases iniciais já vêm prontas. Não há objetivos ou regras estabelecidas. O próprio jogador pode e deve inventá-los.

O jogo gira em torno do jogador, sob o controle de um pequeno personagem, conhecido como "Sackboy" ou "Sackgirl" devido à sua aparência, em uma variedade de cenários plataformas. Embora o jogo apresenta um conjunto de níveis pré-construídos para o jogador explorar, você também pode customizar a natureza do jogo, onde se torna muito importante, como alterar o seu personagem tendo um espaço pessoal, para a construção inteiramente de novos objetos e níveis e, em seguida, compartilhar e jogar on-line com boa parte da comunidade "LittleBigPlanet" .

Uma grande parte da comunidade global de LittleBigPlanet é a suas funcionalidades através da PlayStation Network para o jogador poder interagir e compartilhar seus "patches", níveis e outras modificações, e também jogar online.

Quando um nível é personalizado e reproduzido, o jogador é capaz de marcar o nível, com uma lista predefinida de palavras, e pode percorrer na escolha das palavras para encontrar a palavra que seja mais adequada. Isto permite que outros jogadores possam encontrar rapidamente o seu nível de escolha. O jogador pode procurar por uma etiqueta específica, como "Beautiful". O jogador tem um "coração", um recurso à sua disposição, que lhes permite especificar quais níveis, autocolantes e decorações preferem; desta forma, as pessoas podem usar esse coração para mostrar seu apreço por criações de outros jogadores, como sua visita online ao amigo marcado pelo coração e visualização de itens.

Virtua Tennis 2009

À semelhança do seu antecessor, Virtua Tennis 2009 volta novamente a focar-se no modo World Tour, onde as parecenças em relação ao anterior são bastante notórias. O jogador assume o papel de um jogador ficcional, criado por si próprio, e embarca na caminhada até à primeira posição do ranking de jogadores profissionais, contudo iniciando tal peripécia situado na classificação amadora. Como tal, cabe ao jogador trepar até ambos os escalões para poder tornar-se no derradeiro tenista mundial.

Neste modo o jogador tem uma vasta panóplia de tarefas. Desde a gestão física do seu atleta, aperfeiçoamento da sua técnica, personalização e compra de merchandising. Enfim, uma verdadeira simulação do que é ser um tenista. A condição corporal e mental do desportista é controlada tendo em conta os treinos, amigáveis e torneios que participa, sendo que quanto menor o intervalo existente entre estes, maior o desgaste. O aperfeiçoamento da técnica encontra-se dividido em duas partes: treinos reais numa academia, onde cabe ao jogador obedecer às instruções pretendidas pelo professor, sempre na tentativa de obter o melhor resultado. A outra maneira é através dos tradicionais mini jogos, uma das principais marcas dofranchise. E como sempre, estes continuam bem originais. Com a evolução desta característica, novas formas de jogar tornar-se-ão acessíveis para utilização, possibilitando um vasto leque de escolhas relativamente ao estilo de jogo que é pretendido.

Por último, a personalização, a qual vai ficando mais extensa ao longo da nossa progressão no modo carreira, permite a compra de novos itens, raquetes, roupa, calçado e diversos utensílios. Contudo, existe uma certa sensação de monotonia, acentuando-se esta aidna mais quando os jogadores não se encontram familiarizados com a modalidade em questão.

inFAMOUS

inFAMOUS foge do comum, vive o diferente e cumpre o que promete. Depois de pegar no comando, você vive as aventuras de Cole Mcgrath, um mensageiro que têm uma vida simplesmente, normal. Em um certo dia, aquele homem têm o dever de entregar uma correspondência. Aquele pacote escorrega de suas mãos, e o pior acontece. Cerca de seis quarteirões da cidade foram destruídos com aquela explosão, e o nosso protagonista acorda numa cama de hospital. Depois de ver que a cidade de Empire City, onde mora, está a passar por problemas, devido à dominação de gangues locais pela metrópole, Cole descobre que possui poderes sobrenaturais. A partir de agora pode controlar uma cpersonagem que pode disparar relâmpagos de suas mãos, têm habilidades para escalar edifícios e as mais altas torres e pode mover qualquer objecto com o seu poder elétrico.

Aquele simples homem agora é apontado como o principal culpado por aquela explosão. Cole se vê ameaçado e tenta fugir daqueles que o condenam. Além de ser perseguido pela polícia local, o protagonista ainda tem de confrontar um grande grupo de antigos criminosos e traficantes, osReapers. Os bandidos se aproveitaram da situação em que a cidade está passando para espalhar o mal por toda a região.

A Sucker Punch caprichou no sistema de combate presente em inFAMOUS. As lutas são totalmente intuitivas e proporcionam a você um alto grau de diversão. Apertando um botão (L1, mais especificadamente), você coloca-o em posição de combate e este apresenta uma mira, utilizada para soltar os seus poderosos raios. Os poderes especiais que Cole pode receber aparecem ao longo do jogo, depois de completar difíceis missões.

Este jogo desperta no jogador uma incrível sensação. Uma sensação momentânea de virar um super-herói e viver momentos divertidos por várias horas. Apesar de apresentar alguns defeitos quanto aos gráficos, o título consegue cativar totalmente a pessoa que está a jogar.

Prototype

Nos dias de hoje a concorrência existente no mundo dos jogos é muito grande. Depois do jogo inFAMOUS ter sido lançado para a PlayStation 3, quem deu o ar da sua graça foi Prototype.

Radical Games, responsável por títulos como Scarface e Simpsons: Hit and Run nos coloca na pele de Alex Mercer, habitante da cidade de Nova Iorque que não consegue se lembrar de seu passado e muito menos de onde vieram as suas estranhas habilidades. E por falar em habilidades, aquele homem pode consumir o corpo de qualquer pessoa que cruza o seu caminho, ganhando acesso ao ADN da vítima e podendo também assumir a sua forma física.

E esse grande poder é o centro da jogabilidade do título. Você pode fazer de tudo. Não é exagero, você pode fazer de T-U-D-O. Por exemplo, você pode se passar por um soldado, entrar na base do exército e matar alguém que procura. É esse um dos diferencias que torna Prototype um dos melhores do gênero.

Outra semelhança com inFAMOUS é a habilidade do nosso anti-herói de dar altos saltos. Grandes saltos que combinam clássicos do parkour com muita, muita ação. Alex pode saltar de grandes prédios e matar os inimigos em pleno ar, o que pode ser algo bom quando está no meio do caos ou em fuga.

Alex também possui a habilidade de absorver memórias passadas de quem ele consome, o que pode ajudar o protagonista a desvendar o quebra-cabeças que envolve a sua vida. E o desenrolar da sua história está presente no sistema “Web of Intrigue”, que recria fielmente a cidade de Nova Iorque e apresenta mais de 100 pessoas ligadas à sua vida. A cidade apresenta vários edifícios existentes na vida real, com algumas partes adaptadas para manter a jogabilidade do jogo.

Ao longo do jogo você tem a possibilidade de adquirir novos poderes, comprando-os com os seus pontos de experiência, basta ir ao menu “Upgrades” para ter acesso a novas habilidades. O jogo também apresenta um círculo contendo todas as habilidades do protagonista. A partir do momento que o jogador abre esse “menu”, o jogo fica em câmera lenta, o que possibilita uma maior calma na escolha de seus poderes. Alex possui as mais variadas habilidades, como a materialização de lâminas, punhos em forma de martelos ou outras fatais, como surgimento de espinhos do solo, capazes de destroçar o inimigo rapidamente.

Você também pode entrar em helicópteros, tanques de guerra e diversos veículos militares, utilizando-os para chegar mais rápido no ponto desejado, apesar dos saltos serem a escolha mais certa.

As missões presentes no título são variadas, algumas em que tem que explodir certos locais e infiltrar-se em bases inimigas e outras como proteger uma área da cidade. Existem também alguns eventos diversificados que se fazem presentes no jogo. Os Kill Events fornecem ao jogador um lança-granadas, onde você deve matar vários zumbis em determinado tempo, além dos Agility Events, onde você deve planar sobre a cidade para cumprir vários objetivos. Às vezes você lida com tantos poderes que morre sem saber o motivo. Em meio ao caos que rodeia o jogo, você pode explodir um carro, sem querer, e acabar morrendo.

A nível gráfico, Prototype se sai bem. Não é um daqueles games que merecem um “uaau”, mas é bonito de se ver. Apresenta alguns bugs, como pequenos serrilhados, texturas de baixa qualidade e poucas animações, o que faz o quesito gráficos ficar abaixo da média.

Quanto ao som, Prototype nem se compara a outros jogos para a plataforma. As músicas são repetitivas e, quando você está jogando no modo livre, nenhuma trilha sonora é tocada. As dublagens são boas, e retratam bem a emoção do personagem.

Prototype é um óptimo jogo. A versatilidade é um ponto de destaque e faz com que você “abra asas” para vários recursos. O título abrange muitos desafios em um mundo totalmente aberto, onde você viverá momentos de ação e seriedade. Com certeza é um dos indicados para os melhores de 2009.
